Our Sponsors Traditionally, the Fisherman's Feast was funded by the numerous Sicilian fishing boats that made up the Boston and Gloucester fishing fleets, as well as many of the local North End businesses. Over the past 20 years with the decline of the local fishing industry, we have been forced to look for new ways to keep our tradition alive. In 1992, we were officially recognized by the IRS as a "501(c)(3)" organization, which means that we have nonprofit status and as a result donations may be tax deductible. Because of this status, we have been able to attract a wide variety of corporate sponsors to make up for the loss of the local fishing fleet.
